This was so much fun. For the first time in a long time Kaelyn wanted me to take her picture. She is so cute. I was trying to get a good picture of her eyelashes, I love the one in the bottom left corner. The inspiration for this picture came from a recent "Parade of Homes" enrichment activity in our ward. One of the houses had the cutest picture set of her kids amazingly long eyelashes...Hmm this idea doesn't translate well to words. But they were very powerful and touching pictures. An idea well worth working to emulate.

This is what I call a fourtunate accident. I love how Ashlynn's face is beaming and her parents are in the background (which I didn't plan). If only she was a little more in focus I think I would adore this picture!

This is probably my favorite from the shoot I did for my brother's family. I like it because they enjoy flying planes together. So this, I feel, kind of captures a moment or a point in their family history. Or to put it another way it is a depiction of their family rather than being just another family portrait, if that makes sense.

I consider it progress that I am starting to be able to tell you what is wrong with some of my pictures. This one for example has the wrong white balance setting. My Photoshop skills aren't great, but I can make at lease noticeable improvement to a picture. I am sure that with more practice and instruction in photo editing this could eventually look just right. I have to admit though I would rather spend my time learning to take a better picture to begin with.
